Job Description Summary
The Specialist Enterprise Architect will lead WFG's digital transformation by designing modern, scalable architectures that enable our agent-centric business model and support growth goals. This role focuses on SaaS-first integration, API-first design, and building best-in-class technology platforms using our preferred stack (.NET, React/TypeScript, Python) with AWS cloud services. As a Specialist Enterprise Architect you will work across teams partnering with business, architecture, and delivery to define and drive a transformation roadmap.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead enterprise architecture design for WFG's digital excellence transformation and agent experience optimization
Architect SaaS-first integration strategies with platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Adobe Experience Manager
Design API-first architectures using .NET 8+ (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, C#) for scalable backend services
Lead React/TypeScript frontend architecture for agent portals, customer interfaces, and progressive web applications
Architect data-driven solutions using Python for advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time insights
Design event-driven architectures using AWS services (EventBridge, Lambda, ECS/EKS) for loose coupling and scalability
Lead integration platform architecture using iPaaS solutions or equivalent frameworks for universal connectivity
Implement mobile-first, responsive designs optimized for field agent productivity and customer experience
Design AI/ML integration patterns using Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and generative AI capabilities
Establish security-by-design patterns with zero-trust architecture, encryption everywhere, and compliance automation
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate agent needs into technical solutions and platform capabilities
Mentor development teams on architectural patterns, best practices, and technology standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
6 years of collective experience in architecture, enterprise roadmaps, analytics, cloud, IT strategies, SAFE, TOGAF or similar and data integration.
4 years of experience architecting complex cloud-native architectures
Experience presenting roadmaps, strategies, architectures, and business vision to effectively communicate with all levels of management and drive architectural decisions
Leadership capability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and drive architectural decisions
3 years experience architecting large-scale distributed applications with microservices patterns
3 years experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline implementation
3 years experience architecting containerized applications with Kubernetes or equivalent orchestration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with customer-focused delivery management
Technical communication skills and ability to work effectively in agile team environments
Expertise using SQL for data analysis, profiling, and extraction across multiple database platforms
Experience with agent/digital experience design and field productivity optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Experience in the financial services industry, required digital portal experience, agent/advisor technologies(ex: Life, Annuities, Brokerage, Insurance)
Deep expertise in .NET ecosystem (ASP.NET Core 8+, Entity Framework Core, C# 12+, AWS integration patterns)
Experience designing robust data architectures and supporting applications on modern data stores (DynamoDB, Document, Graph, Iceberg)
Advanced React/TypeScript experience including component libraries, state management, and performance optimization
Python data science expertise (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, MLOps patterns)
Experience integrating with advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI implementations (AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, generative AI pipelines)
Thorough knowledge of OpenAPI specification, REST API design, security patterns, and implementation
AWS cloud certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps) and hands-on AWS services experience
Experience with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Apache Camel) and event-driven messaging patterns
Understanding of big data, real-time streaming analytics, and data lake architectures
Knowledge of financial services regulatory compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI DSS, GDPR)
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and multi-channel customer service platforms
Progressive Web App (PWA) and mobile-first development architecture experience
Master's degree in relevant technical field
Working Conditions:

Compensation:
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $170,000 - $190,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
