Job Description Summary
Lead and oversee the planning, scheduling, coordination, and deployment of projects and software releases across multiple business portfolio platforms. Collaborate strategically with business portfolio leaders, business project teams, senior leadership, and Production Support within the Strategic Planning Office (SPO), Release Train Engineers (RTEs), technology release managers, and technology development partners including Quality Assurance. Responsibilities:
Plan and manage numerous projects, enhancements, and system maintenance type of changes across various environments (i.e., development, staging, production).
Drive the coordination of release schedules and ensure alignment with business goals and timelines in a hybrid model of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for release (business project teams, development, QA, DevOps).
Act as a point of escalation within the organization, including IT and business partners.
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to leadership and stakeholders on software release status, requiring advanced analysis and functionality.
Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
Maintain release documentation, including plans, procedures, and post-release reports.
Monitor and report on release progress, metrics, and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with change management and governance processes.
Continuously improve release processes and tools for efficiency and reliability.
Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Ten years of experience in release management, business program management, software development, or DevOps.
Five years of experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels
Ability to coordinate and enact change through cross-functional teams towards task completion and facilitate consensus across key IT personnel, absent of a direct reporting relationship
Problem solving skills and ability to work and prioritize in a dynamic changing agile environment with tight deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
Ability to synthesize data and clearly articulate necessary information to executive leaders
Ability to question data and provide appropriate analysis to challenge status quo; identifies unexplored possibilities for improving outcomes
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
Experience with project management tools (JIRA)
Familiarity with version control systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in information technology, business administration, or related field
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Release Management

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $128,000 - $140,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
