Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Project Manager to support the planning and execution of complex projects. In this role, you will assist senior project leadership in managing schedules, resources, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership support, organizational skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in overseeing project execution, including scope, schedule, and resource tracking.
- Prepare project status reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership and client review.
- Facilitate meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-up with stakeholders.
- Monitor project risks and issues, escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Maintain clear communication across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–6 years of project management or coordination experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
- Familiarity with project management tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.
- Local to Brooklyn, NY, and able to support onsite work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
- Previous experience in federal or government contracting environments.
- Background in transportation projects or transportation-related programs is preferred but not required.
