Our mission is clear: Make journey management the most powerful business tool in the world.
If you’re looking for a place where your work shapes the future of how companies operate, join us. Let’s build it together.
At TheyDo the QA team is offering testing automation as a platform to the rest of the product engineering. We are a small but mighty team taking responsibility for the quality standards and practices. We manage to do this mostly via thoughtful automation and improving the developer experience in testing. This way, product engineers can ensure their built features are meeting the quality standards by easily authoring tests at all levels.
Your top priority is ensuring our engineers can deploy with confidence, make testing and releasing fast, reliable, and painless for our engineers. You’ll own the quality platform: defining and evolving our test frameworks, CI workflows, and tooling. You’ll use AI-assisted development to speed up delivery, but rely on solid engineering and TypeScript skills to keep the bar high. By focusing on developer experience around testing, you’ll continuously improve how TheyDo builds, runs, and ships high-quality software at scale.
What you’ll do:
Manage our existing TypeScript-based test automation platform (Playwright, vitest, shared libs, utilities) and extend it with new tooling where necessary.
Make testing easy for developers: reliable testing frameworks, fast test executions, guidelines and templates to spread best practices and rules for AI to generate tests more reliably, , accessible reports and powerful local workflows
Design and maintain CI/CD quality gates in GitHub Actions
Use AI-assisted development (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to speed up work, while reviewing critically
Monitor and improve test stability, speed, and flakiness; make failures fast to debug
Pair with product engineers to improve testing practices and build testable, quality-first features and APIs
What we’re looking for
Strong TypeScript engineer with solid experience in test automation
Hands-on experience with Playwright (or similar) and building/maintaining multiple testing frameworks
Practical experience designing and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (ideally with some of our stack: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, k8s)
Comfortable using AI coding tools as a multiplier, not a replacement for engineering judgment
Platform/DevEx mindset: you like building tools and workflows that other devs would love using
Clean, well-structured code, good documentation, and async-friendly communication
