Responsibilities
- Serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities including administrative and quality initiatives
- Attend and participate in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings
- Provide guidance, training, and supervision to facility clinical staff
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for day-to-day resident care
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases in SNF residents
- Document patient care using proprietary and common EHR systems
- Participate in chronic care management, transitional care, RPM, and other quality programs
- Supervise collaborating NPs and PAs and utilize electronic medical tools and state systems
Education
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Missouri
