As an Automotive Body Estimator, you will be responsible for appraising vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair for insurance claim settlements. This includes inspecting and testing vehicles using mechanical testing devices, visual inspections, and discussing concerns directly with customers.
In this role, you will write estimates, communicate with clients throughout the repair process, and work closely with insurance carriers. Additional responsibilities include performing walk-arounds and check-ins with vehicle owners, completing supplements in coordination with technicians, and processing final paperwork—ensuring labor hours and parts pricing are accurate. You’ll also communicate with DRP partners and handle total loss evaluations.
The Estimator prepares detailed, itemized work orders and is responsible for ensuring accuracy in the repair process, as well as handling all customer and insurance correspondence from start to finish. Your expertise is key in evaluating repairs and providing a high level of service and communication throughout the process.

Automotive Body Estimator Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a clean, valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- PA State Appraiser License is REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in collision repair
- Requires the ability to work in a team environment as well as strong oral and written communication skills
- Selected candidate must be able to perform all job functions, including: bending, standing, lifting, and reaching
