Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily work of plant operations staff including assigning tasks and conducting performance evaluations
- Inspect and ensure proper operation of water treatment plant processes, pumping stations, storage reservoirs and related facilities
- Review daily operational reports, identify maintenance needs, and initiate corrective actions to maintain water quality
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards and coordinate adjustments with distribution staff
- Participate in requisitioning materials, preparing equipment specifications, and coordinating contracts
- Develop and deliver training and professional development for technical staff
- Maintain detailed operational records and compare results against goals and standards
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a healthy working environment
Education
- Associate's Degree in Engineering (minimum)
- Candidates with equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement
