Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of Vision Zero Safety Action Plan elements and associated infrastructure projects.
- Manage and perform traffic safety studies, field investigations and data collection to develop countermeasures.
- Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets and manage projects through procurement, construction and closeout.
- Provide supervision, mentorship and performance oversight for graduate engineers and engineering technicians.
- Coordinate with contractors, internal departments, and community stakeholders to implement safety projects.
- Use VueWorks Enterprise Asset Management System to plan, track and maintain transportation asset records.
- Serve as compliance manager for neighborhood safety contracts and oversee contract procurement and administration.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas (required or obtainable within 6 months)
- Valid driver's license
