Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to patrons in-person, by phone, and via email, including basic reference and reader's advisory.
- Check in/out materials and operate circulation systems and cash register for payment transactions.
- Plan, develop, and deliver programs, workshops, and classes for various age groups.
- Provide technology assistance and basic computer training; support self-service equipment use.
- Develop library displays and merchandising materials to highlight collections and events.
- Conduct community outreach, process new library accounts, and replace library cards at events.
- Support and champion the Library’s strategic goals and initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related field (required)
- Candidates without a degree may be considered with substantially more relevant work experience
