We are seeking an experienced NICU Director – Level III RN to lead a 99-bed Level III NICU with oversight of 150 FTEs and two managers. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through strong operational leadership, staffing oversight, and budget management. The NICU Director fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and superior clinical outcomes while ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
Oversee unit operations including patient flow, admissions/discharges, and volume forecasting.
Lead interdisciplinary communication and collaboration across departments.
Guide nursing practice, including policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
Deliver leadership that promotes an unparalleled patient and family experience.
Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory benchmarks.
Licensure:
Current RN license in Texas or compact state license.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in healthcare leadership required.
Current NICU Director experience highly preferred.
Certifications:
BLS required.
ACLS, NRP, FHM, RNC-OB preferred.
