Job Summary
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment. If you are passionate about AI-driven automation, scalable backend systems, and rapid execution, this is your chance to be part of an elite team of engineers shaping the future of enterprise AI.
This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who can take ownership of features from concept to deployment, iterate quickly based on feedback, and optimize for both speed and scalability. You should be comfortable building and designing end to end feature development from API dev to direct user interaction.
If you love solving hard problems, shipping features at startup speed, and working in a low-ego, high-ownership environment, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Rapid Feature Development & Deployment
Design, build, and ship full-stack features quickly and reliably.
Develop scalable APIs, backend services, and integration points.
Build modern UIs, including real-time dashboards, data visualizations, and reusable components with strong state management.
Optimize performance, usability, and reliability across frontend and backend systems.
2. AI Integrations
Connect backend services to AI systems, vector indices, and model servers.
Implement real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures for automation.
3. Performance Optimization & Scalability
Continuously identify and fix performance bottlenecks in both frontend and backend systems.
Optimize database queries and caching strategies for high-performance data retrieval.
Ensure scalability and security best practices in cloud-based deployments.
4. Startup Mindset: Autonomy & Execution Speed
Take initiative—identify problems and build solutions without waiting for direction.
Make trade-offs between speed and long-term scalability, based on business needs.
Work in a high-ownership environment, making architectural decisions as needed.
Quickly adapt to changing priorities, tight deadlines, and startup pivots.
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of full-stack development experience, with strong backend & API development skills and advanced React expertise (custom hooks, complex state management, performance optimization)
Solid experience with Python (FastAPI with Uvicorn, SQLAlchemy, RESTful API design), React, Next.js, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant).
Expertise in TypeScript (complex generics, utility types, strict typing in production) and modern React ecosystem tools (Next.js App Router, SSR, data fetching libraries).
Familiarity with cloud storage services (AWS S3, GCP Cloud Storage, or equivalent).
Proven track record in enterprise UI development (design systems, component libraries, accessibility) and performance optimization (memoization, virtualization).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in agile, fast-paced startup environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization (dashboards, charts, graphs) and real-time UI patterns (WebSockets, live updates, optimistic UI).
Background in enterprise authentication (SSO, RBAC, session management) and integration of AI/ML models into production applications.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures, microservices, and workflow automation (RPA, business process engines).
Prior experience in large-scale tech environments and/or building developer-facing tools (e.g., code editor integrations, syntax highlighting, diff viewers).
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
