Skills
- Advanced skills in After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with motion design, animation principles and kinetic typography
- Familiarity with 3D tools (Cinema 4D and/or Blender preferred)
- Video editing skills in Adobe Premiere increase candidacy
- Experience or aptitude for broadcast graphics workflows and template systems (Chyron Prime a plus)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating broadcast and motion design work
- Excellent communication and customer-service orientation
- Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
- Attention to spelling, grammar and visual detail
Responsibilities
- Design and animate broadcast graphics including logos, informational graphics, branding and marketing pieces
- Create kinetic typography, animated infographics and complex motion sequences for broadcast and digital
- Produce 3D assets and integrate them into motion packages (using Cinema 4D or Blender when applicable)
- Edit and prepare video assets for on-air and online use (Adobe Premiere workflow experience preferred)
- Communicate directly with stations to clarify project requirements and deliver daily graphics
- Learn and use CG/template tools such as Chyron Prime and participate in template creation
- Work collaboratively with Creative Director, Art Director, production coordinators and station teams
- Manage multiple projects, respond to feedback throughout the project lifecycle and meet tight deadlines
- Maintain strong spelling, grammar and brand consistency in all deliverables
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends as required
Education
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Formal training from design/art school or motion graphics curriculum preferred
- Recent graduates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply
