We are seeking a motivated AR and Collection Intern to support our Accounts Receivable (AR) and Collection team. In this role, you will assist with managing customer accounts, handling collections, and supporting various AR functions. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in AR and collections within a dynamic and growing company.

As an AR and Collection Intern you will: 

  • Assist with customer inquiries and issues through professional and timely email and phone communication.
  • Manage a list of outstanding customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer account balances by issuing and reviewing customer statements.
  • Support AR invoice creation and act as a backup to our billing specialist as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the AR and collection processes meet organizational needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, including system upgrades and integration of new business acquisitions.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS); concentration in Accounting, preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes and customer collections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with pivot tables and basic functions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous internship or relevant work experience in an office setting is a plus.
