Working on the Operations Department

We’re seeking a Registered Dietitian with an active New York State RD credential to support our growing programs across New York. In this remote role, you’ll assess members’ nutritional needs, prescribe medically tailored meals, and provide culturally relevant, evidence-based nutrition education to individuals managing chronic conditions. As part of our holistic, wraparound model of care, you may also support social care navigation and enrollment activities to help ensure every member receives comprehensive support.

A quick heads up: This is a minimum 20 hours/week, maximum 35 hours/week contract role. During the contract period, benefits won’t be available.

What You’ll Get to Do

• Report to the Senior Director, Clinical Operations.

• Participate in the development of nutrition standards and health education for chronic conditions using the latest clinical evidence and dietary trends.

• Provide individualized health education to ensure members receive the most current, evidence-based guidance.

• Create tailored nutritional interventions and ensure food prescriptions are properly transmitted to the fulfillment team.

• Deliver quality nutrition services, including screening, assessment, counseling, and education.

• Account for religious, cultural, and ethical factors in assessments and interventions.

• Evaluate potential food, drug, and herb/supplement interactions when providing education and counseling.

• Collaborate with members to set achievable goals and create personalized care plans.

• Support social care navigation and enrollment processes as needed to improve member outcomes.

• Maintain active credentials and stay up-to-date with current practices in clinical nutrition and dietetics.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Must hold an active RD credential and be licensed to practice in New York State.

• Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese required.

• Strong understanding of clinical nutrition, particularly related to chronic conditions and medically tailored interventions.

• Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and providing care through telehealth platforms.

• Training or experience in motivational interviewing, especially for social care coordination or patient-centered care.

• Detail-oriented, with the ability to assess complex dietary needs in a systems-based, operational setting.

• Previous experience in clinical review, nutrition operations, or healthtech environments preferred.

• Professional, compassionate communicator with a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Compensation estimates are based on market data about the role and level, while individual compensation offers will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
