The Program Specialist III, under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, manages marketing and public relations for the Mature Drivers Program and helps to maintain a strong community presence. Additionally, plans, coordinates and conducts educational programming.
Responsibilities:
-Develops and manages an aggressive marketing and public relations program using social media platforms, media, electronic communications, and other external communications/media outlets.
-Develops and maintains a strong community presence and builds partnerships with community organizations.
-Develops public education and informational materials.
-Develops strategies for measuring and enhancing the CarFit Technician, CarFit Coordinator and CarFit participant experience.
-Assists in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring programs and services statewide.
-Assists in the preparation and maintenance of special reports, and other grant reporting documents.
-Attends meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned programming areas.
-Travel statewide, on average 60% of the time, to coordinate and conduct programming and fulfill job duties, including evening, weekend and overnight travel.
-Other duties as required
Required Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Three years of related experience.
Preferred Experience
-Preferred prior experience in traffic safety programming, community-based educational programing and educating adults.
Preferred licenses/certifications
-Prefer current CarFit Technician or CarFit Coordinator. If not currently trained, complete CarFit training within 3 months of hire.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, marketing material creation programs, video creation and editing.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

-Bilingual
