Legal Data Analyst
Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, lookup functions, IF statements, etc.)
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations (Google Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Excel)
- Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL querying
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to translate data into recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication for sharing findings with non-technical stakeholders
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment and managing competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and standardize data from internal systems and external sources.
- Manipulate and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights across case outcomes and firm operations.
- Analyze case characteristics that impact speed to resolution and collectability.
- Identify highest-ROI lead sources and channels to optimize marketing and intake.
- Build and maintain internal reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support strategic decisions.
- Recommend improvements to data workflows, metrics collection, and triage processes.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field preferred
- Relevant coursework or certifications in data analysis, statistics, or BI tools are a plus
