Community Manager

System is a Public Benefit Corporation building software to help the world see and solve complex systems, beginning in healthcare. We are seeking a Community Manager to build and nurture a global network of systems thinkers, champion the product within research and policy communities, and collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and other teams to drive adoption, engagement, and impact.

Skills

  • Proven experience building and growing communities, especially among researchers or expert networks.
  • Project and partnership management with ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for outreach, documentation, and stakeholder advocacy.
  • Comfort engaging with technical audiences including data scientists and researchers.
  • Experience using community platforms, event tooling, and basic analytics to measure engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between users and the product team, conveying user feedback and needs.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase awareness, adoption, and active participation in target communities.
  • Provide ongoing user support: answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure a positive platform experience.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to align community initiatives with product roadmaps and company goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report community engagement metrics to guide outreach and product improvements.
  • Advocate for the community internally and identify opportunities for product and program innovation.
  • Plan and run virtual and in-person community events to foster engagement, learning, and partnerships.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, social sciences, public policy, or related fields.
  • Experience working with research, data science, or expert communities (at least 2 years).
