The legal industry is broken – outdated, overpriced, and structurally rigged against innovation and access. Today, 92% of low-income households can’t afford legal help, and meaningful reform is blocked by laws that prohibit non-lawyers from owning or operating law firms.
This shuts out entrepreneurs and business leaders who drive real change. At the same time, firms are confined by state-level regulations that make it hard to scale across jurisdictions, limiting competition and protecting inefficiency. While other industries have embraced technology, law firms are still stuck in the past – reliant on paper, billable hours, and outdated systems.
Our mission is to change that. By equipping law firms with cutting-edge tech and world-class operations, we will push the industry 10 years forward – delivering faster, better, and more affordable legal services at scale.
Value alignment is non-negotiable. Because of the close collaboration with the founding team and the direct impact on clients, it's essential that you genuinely connect with and embody our commitment to Care. Our standards are high - historically, only 3% of candidates possess the rare combination of technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and cultural alignment we require.
Care for Ourselves: We push ourselves to grow every day. We take full responsibility for our lives and choices. That means taking care of our mental, physical, and emotional health so we can consistently show up at our best. If we’re not growing, we’re falling behind.
Care for Our Team: We work as one team. No internal competition, no egos. We help each other win and give honest feedback when something’s off. We check in, offer help before it’s asked for, and never let a teammate struggle alone. If one of us fails, we all do. If one of us wins, we all benefit. When someone needs something, do it better and faster than expected.
Care for Our Clients: We focus on real outcomes, not just fulfilling requests. Clients trust us to solve the right problems, not just follow instructions. That means delivering practical, effective solutions that actually move the needle. It also means managing relationships with clear communication and follow-through.
Care for Swans: Swans exists because a group of people believed in the vision and put skin in the game. For this to work long-term, we need to protect and grow the company. That means putting Swans first when it matters. When the company wins, we all win. That includes making sure our early backers see the return they deserve.
Care for Our World: Low-income households receive no or inadequate legal help for 92% of their legal problems. This gap leaves millions navigating critical issues like housing, healthcare, and family matters without the support they need. We are on a mission to create a more just and equitable society by making legal services accessible across all income levels.
