Staff Accountant
Our client is a fast-growing fintech company providing cloud-based accounting, payroll, tax, and advisory services to small businesses.
They are seeking an experienced accountant with strong client-facing skills to manage onboarding projects, clean up and set up accounting systems, and work with multiple clients across industries.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare accurate, accrual-basis financial statements.
- Perform detailed reconciliations for bank, credit card, merchant service, and loan accounts.
- Clean up and set up client accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage multiple onboarding projects at once, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Communicate directly with clients to understand needs and deliver solutions.
- Use cloud-based accounting platforms and integrated tools to streamline processes (QuickBooks Online, Xero, A2X, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
- Identify and communicate scope changes early to onboarding managers.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a small or mid-sized CPA firm).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP-based accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience working with multiple clients from different industries.
- C1 English fluency or equivalent.
- Experience in a client-facing role and client onboarding processes.
- QuickBooks Online certification is a plus but nor mandatory.
- E-commerce accounting experience.

Salary: $3000 - $4000 USD /month
PTO: 120 hours in the first year + 5 sick days; unlimited PTO after year one
