POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator, Catalyst facilitates key project, data management, and administrative work for the Catalyst team. Catalyst is an independent film financing program that brings together both new and experienced film investors through highly-curated film financing opportunities, custom programming, and ongoing engagement with the Sundance Institute community. We train selected filmmakers to effectively present their films for independent financing, and we provide them with continued support throughout the lives of their projects through guidance on building successful investor relationships and critical project feedback.
Working closely under the Manager, Catalyst, the Coordinator will support logistics for all program activities, including the filmmaker application and review process for the Catalyst Forum, the Catalyst Forum Filmmaker prep program, and our year-round work with Catalyst alumni and investors. The Coordinator will also lead tracking and data management projects for the Catalyst team, playing a major role in helping the team remain on task and meet deadlines. Additionally, this role will support in-person and remote events and cross-departmental initiatives with the Future Models Program, which aims to tackle systemic challenges by supporting interventions, creative solutions, and new models toward the shared goal of increasing sustainability across the ecosystem.
While much of the day-to-day work may be performed remotely, this full-time position is based within a commutable distance to Los Angeles, CA in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity as needed throughout the year. This role works extended hours, including evenings and weekends at key points and will require travel to Institute offices and events on occasion.
