Role Summary:
Come help us tell Summit’s story and have a positive impact on the business. The Senior Graphic Designer plays a key role in developing and maintaining Summit Electric Supply’s brand identity across all visual communications. This position creates, edits, and produces marketing materials and business collateral that align with Summit’s corporate identity standards.
The ideal candidate combines creative vision with technical expertise, translating ideas into compelling visuals that support the business. This person must be able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining attention to detail and design consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and produce marketing materials, including print, digital, social, and environmental graphics, from concept through production.
• Collaborate with the team to develop creative solutions that communicate complex information effectively.
• Maintain and enforce Summit’s brand standards across all materials and channels.
• Develop layouts, templates, and assets for campaigns, sales presentations, collateral, events, signage, and communications.
• Oversee end-to-end production across digital, print, and third-party vendors, ensuring quality and consistency from concept to final delivery.
• Partner with external vendors such as printers, photographers, sign shops, and production houses to ensure quality and consistency.
• Support company initiatives by creating graphics and necessary collateral for sales presentations, sales promotions and SPIFs, digital campaigns, email campaigns, web pages, and social media platforms.
• Develop creative content for video, motion graphics, and other multimedia applications.
• Keep current with design trends, software updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve design efficiency and innovation.
• Maintain organized digital asset libraries and adhere to proper file management practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support Summit’s marketing and communications efforts.
Education & Experience:
• Minimum of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional design experience (in-house or agency environment preferred).
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Premiere or After Effects).
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
• Working knowledge of photography, prepress, and print production processes.
• Familiarity with digital design tools (Adobe XD or Figma, Adobe Express or Canva).
• Familiarity with basic web design (WordPress/Drupal, HTML, CSS).
Professional Skills:
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to turn feedback into results.
• Excellent time management and project prioritization abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with commitment to quality and consistency.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Experience in B2B marketing or industrial/electrical distribution industries preferred.
