Skills
- 5+ years professional software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose languages (e.g., Java, C#)
- Experience building mission-critical systems: infrastructure, databases, data processing, distributed systems, or ML
- Strong understanding of production environments, dependencies, and platform primitives
- Proven ability to own projects end-to-end and mentor other engineers
- Familiarity with testing, CI/CD, observability, and deployment practices
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain scalable features across StubHub’s platforms with emphasis on push and lifecycle marketing systems
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure best practices, reliability, and observability
- Drive end-to-end ownership of projects from concept through production and iteration
- Build real-time targeting, campaign decisioning, and experimentation capabilities at scale
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering technical growth and inclusive team practices
- Identify and reduce systemic technical debt while improving performance, security, and privacy
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred but not required
