Skills
- Expert SQL for large-scale data transformation and analysis
- Experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Programming experience in Python (or Java) for data processing
- Familiarity with Spark or SparkSQL for large-scale compute
- Experience with orchestration and modeling tools (Airflow, dbt)
- BI/dashboarding experience (Looker, Tableau)
- Exposure to streaming and real-time data technologies
- Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools
- Comfort writing configuration/markup (YAML) and CI/CD for data
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cross-functional analytical data models and metric frameworks
- Build and operate data pipelines and orchestration for batch and streaming use cases
- Create and maintain self-serve dashboards and BI tools for stakeholders
- Specialize in one or more business domains and anticipate domain-specific analytical needs
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to translate requirements into data products
- Ensure data quality, observability, and metadata/cataloging best practices
- Drive reuse and standardization of metrics, models, and documentation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
