Standard Bots is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for seasoned and skilled Controller to manage our accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to ensure financial health and support growth. This hands-on role includes maintaining financial records, coordinating audits, managing cash flow, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee the creation of internal and external financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards like Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Budgeting and Planning: Develop and manage budgets, conduct financial forecasting, and monitor financial performance against benchmarks.
Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls, implementing new processes as needed.
Strategic Guidance: Provide financial insights and advice to founders and the executive team to support strategic decision-making and growth.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, ensuring timely payments to vendors and collection from customers to maintain financial stability.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate activities and provide documentation for external auditors.
We’re looking for a hands-on Controller who is excited to roll up their sleeves and take on a large variety of tasks, from bookkeeping to strategic advising. You have a knack for creating strong financial systems that provide reliable data for investors and leadership team, and you build processes that will scale with us as we continue to grow.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, CPA preferred
Experience building processes from 0 → 1; Startup experience strongly preferred
Manufacturing/Suppy Chain experience a plus
Accounting Expertise: Deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and inform decisions.
Software Proficiency: Skill in using financial and accounting software. Familiarity with Quickbooks but also larger systems like NetSuite or SAP
Adaptability: Willingness to take on varied tasks and operate in a fast-paced, "multiple hats" startup environment.
The salary range for this role is $175,000 to $215,000, depending on experience. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
