Responsibilities
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware in Starshield satellite and ground station systems
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand part and assembly design intent
- Support procurement by reviewing supplier manufacturing and quality systems
- Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis
- Define product technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance
- Implement and monitor production part approval processes with suppliers
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery data to identify trends and drive improvements
- Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers and capabilities
- Drive product and process improvements to reduce cost and defects
- Manage supply chain through strong supplier relationships and communication
- Collaborate across teams and lead projects to drive supply base improvements
