SpaceX is advancing technologies to enable human life on Mars and seeks a Senior Video Editor to lead the creative and technical execution of high-profile video content. The role requires a seasoned editor who can craft compelling narratives for major missions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and elevate the overall production quality in a fast-paced, onsite environment in Hawthorne, CA.

  • Portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and storytelling excellence
  • Experience working with global clients and brands

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into strong visual creative at both conceptual and execution levels
  • Provide strategic leadership in video editing to elevate SpaceX's video content quality for major missions
  • Lead the editing process for major space missions ensuring a seamless, captivating narrative
  • Apply color grading techniques to enhance visual storytelling and ensure color consistency
  • Collaborate with project leads, cinematographers, producers, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive storytelling
  • Craft polished video content that showcases SpaceX's impact on space exploration
  • Present prior work and examples as part of the application process
  • Support launch operations and critical timelines, including some weekend availability and travel to remote sites

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree in video editing, film, or video production preferred
