Responsibilities
- Develop new methods and processes to ensure healthy flow of critical components
- Manage and continually improve demand and supply plans for Starship design groups
- Maintain accurate configurations of multi-level assemblies (BOMs)
- Define stock levels and reorder points based on part criticality, lead time, consumption and cost
- Create and manage part retention policies to optimize warehouse space and reduce stagnant inventory
- Work with engineering to identify critical spares and determine appropriate quantities
- Automate repetitive planning and sourcing activities where possible
- Track fulfillment across multi-level BOMs and lead cross-functional meetings to resolve issues
- Proactively communicate critical supply issues to management and engineering
- Monitor inventory and demand; initiate purchase signals to maintain healthy stock
- Adjust internal inventory for common parts to maximize movement and minimize excess
- Serve as liaison between supply chain and engineering and build relationships across teams
Education
- Advanced degree (preferred); or
- Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or
- 6+ years of relevant experience without a bachelor's degree
- Relevant fields: engineering, supply chain, operations, procurement, materials
