- Proven software development experience (Python, C++, Golang)
- Designing and implementing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure
- Applied cryptography and secure key management
- Network security knowledge including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols
- Experience with hardware security primitives (TPM, HSM) and secure/ authenticated boot
- Vulnerability research, incident response, and adversary detection fundamentals
- Ability to work across abstraction layers and communicate security tradeoffs clearly
Responsibilities
- Design and build security infrastructure and cryptographic services for Starlink systems
- Develop security features for router, dish, gateways, and satellite software
- Design and integrate security into factory processes and related network services
- Maintain and harden production systems; provide actionable security recommendations
- Prototype and evaluate security improvements, and drive practical deployments
- Support incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability research as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, systems, and network engineering teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years professional security software development experience
- Or 7+ years professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree
