Senior .NET Developer

POSITION OVERVIEW

Salary range: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 

At ALIS, we believe that both cultural alignment and technical expertise are essential. The exact salary will vary based on years of experience and the level of proficiency in both hard and soft skills.

Minimum Years of Experience Required: 5 years

Working Location: Candidates with 5 years of experience eligible for in-office, hybrid, or fully remote schedules. Relocation subsidies available. At least 3 visits (per year) to the Chicago headquarters are required, including the final round interview. Please note candidates must be able, willing and excited to travel. 

*If you are based in the Chicagoland area, you’ll be required to work onsite for your first 90 days. After that, your schedule (in-office, hybrid, or remote) will be determined in alignment with performance and team needs.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 

As a Senior .NET Developer, you’ll do more than code - you’ll solve problems, spark ideas, and build software that makes a real impact in senior housing communities. Partnering with Product, Design, QA, and fellow engineers, you’ll bring creativity, curiosity, and pride to everything you build. Your work is visible, celebrated, and impactful, whether you’re enhancing our Medical Records and Resident Experience tools, driving insights through our DOMO platform, or pushing forward bold new product initiatives.

• Ideation & Problem Solving - Be an active participant in the ideation process, collaborating with your team to brainstorm creative and practical solutions to complex problems. Your good judgment and pragmatic approach will be key in turning great ideas into actionable solutions.

• Architectural Vision - Build and develop the technical design of new features and systems, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and aligned with our long-term architectural vision.

• Build Awesome Solutions - Take a leading role in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial design to deployment. Set the precedent for our team's standards through your approach to writing, testing, and refining code.

• Code Review - Participate in and lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and ensuring our codebase is high-quality, secure, and performant.

• Cultivate a problem solving mindset - Mentor developers not just on how to write code, but on why we write it. Guide the team to use tools and technologies in a way that provides the most effective solutions to our customers' problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

• 5+ years of ASP.NET programming experience with any of:

  • ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET MVC Core 

  • ASP.NET Core Blazor

  • Entity Framework 6, Entity Framework Core, Dapper

• 5+ years of experience working with a SaaS product

This includes adding detailed development plans to tickets, providing high-quality estimates, and communicating progress and blockers proactively. • A Master of Your Craft - You have meticulous attention to detail and believe in delivering excellent quality. You thoroughly test your own solutions, review your own code before it ever goes to a peer, and are a natural at identifying and addressing potential issues.

• A Clear Technical Communicator - You can clearly articulate complex concepts to anyone, regardless of their technical background. You're comfortable demoing your work often and you're always engaged in meetings, cameras on.

• Experience using Azure Portal and Azure Emulators, JetBrains Rider, LinqPad, Postman, Powershell, Sentry, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Code 

• Experience using Atlassian Products ( Jira, Confluence) and Figma, Figjam
