- Proven software engineering experience in security-focused projects
- Applied cryptography knowledge and secure protocol design
- Operating system and firmware security expertise
- Network security fundamentals including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols
- Experience with security hardware such as TPMs and HSMs
- Ability to work across abstraction levels from high-level design to low-level implementation
Responsibilities
- Design and build security infrastructure and cryptographic services for Starlink
- Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Integrate security into factory processes and network services
- Maintain and improve production security systems through implementation and recommendations
- Prototype, test, and validate security improvements and mitigations
- Support incident response, adversary detection, and vulnerability research as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM and 5+ years security software development experience, OR 7+ years experience without a degree
- Advanced technical degree preferred (MS/PhD) but not required
