Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of engineering problem solving experience
- Experience in design, analysis, or test at system or large assembly level
- Experience with anomaly resolution and lessons-learned documentation
- Familiarity with engineering risk management, configuration, and change management
- On-console test or launch support experience and ability to make real-time decisions
- Proficiency with common computer applications; SQL and/or Python experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel (~25%) and work extended hours/weekends as required
Responsibilities
- Own and manage risk tracking for a Starship vehicle or component through testing and flight
- Support and provide feedback in technical reviews (vehicle state machines, CONOPS, joint ops)
- Organize and run flight readiness and flight data reviews; drive actions to closure
- Serve on-console during tests/launches as the authority for vehicle risk and communicate status to leadership
- Support anomaly investigations using fault trees, fishbones, 5 whys and resolve issues in real time
- Influence and improve processes and tools for risk, change, and mission workflow
- Run projects to improve risk management tooling and support regulatory/customer reviews as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Advanced degree in engineering or related field (preferred)
