Factory Automation Engineer (Starlink Production)
Skills
- Experience with industrial or factory automation design and implementation
- Proficiency with PLC programming, particularly Beckhoff TwinCAT structured text
- Knowledge of electrical systems including motor sizing, circuit protection, and VFDs
- Familiarity with safety standards and fail-safe electrical circuit design
- Hands-on troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems using diagnostic tools
- Experience with field bus networking protocols such as EtherCAT and Ethernet/IP
- Ability to design and commission electrical panels and electro-mechanical systems with safety in mind
- Experience in robotics programming, preferably ABB
Responsibilities
- Design and manage factory automation projects from ideation through commissioning and handoff
- Develop, organize, and maintain PLC code for high-volume manufacturing
- Implement safety systems compliant with ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA standards for robotics and manufacturing equipment
- Create intuitive HMI screens for easy machine operation and troubleshooting
- Design electrical systems in compliance with NEC, NFPA, & UL508A regulations
- Plan and oversee schedules and budgets, motivating teams to meet goals
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or computer science
