- Electrical systems design for low and medium voltage distribution
- Experience with switchgear, motor control centers, UPS, and generators
- Ability to read and interpret power and control schematics and O&M manuals
- Familiarity with power monitoring systems and load flow analysis
- Knowledge of applicable electrical and fire codes (NEC, NFPA, IBC) and safety standards
Responsibilities
- Design detailed electrical systems: power distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, and grounding.
- Specify and support installation of UPS units, standby generators, automatic transfer switches, and power monitoring hardware/software.
- Develop interior/exterior lighting, data/phone distribution wiring, fire alarm and lightning protection systems.
- Perform load flow analysis, electrical equipment evaluation, and power coordination/arc flash assessments.
- Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for facility technicians and integrate equipment with facility power budgets.
- Coordinate electrical installations with trade partners and local utility personnel and ensure code compliance.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
