Skills
- PC-DMIS programming and CMM operation
- Strong GD&T interpretation and application
- Experience with multi-sensing CMMs (touch, vision, laser)
- Romer Arm setup and operation
- On-machine probing knowledge (Fanuc/Siemens)
- Gauge selection and basic gauging design
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems
- Able to work in cleanroom environment and meet physical demands
Responsibilities
- Perform precision inspection using CMMs and surface plate methods for parts, assemblies, and materials (first article, in-process, final).
- Program and operate PC-DMIS on articulating Romer ARM and DCC CMMs; maintain and organize inspection programs by revision.
- Interpret GD&T on engineering drawings and identify ambiguous or incorrect tolerancing.
- Select and use appropriate gauges and tools to inspect features to required tolerances.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and manufacturing to create inspection plans and improve processes.
- Recommend drawing or process changes to improve manufacturability and inspection clarity.
- Assist with procuring quality tooling and CMM equipment and deliver training to team members.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Technical certificate in metrology or manufacturing technology preferred
