Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic cinematography vision to raise the visual standard of SpaceX video content for major missions and services
- Lead cinematography efforts on major space missions, ensuring technical excellence and strong visual storytelling
- Plan and execute shot lists, set up and operate professional camera and lighting equipment, and capture mission-critical footage
- Maintain, organize, and oversee camera and lighting equipment to ensure readiness for launches and productions
- Coordinate with engineers, communications teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to capture diverse, high-value content
- Travel to remote launch sites or production locations as required and support weekend launch operations
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in cinematography, film production, or related visual arts
- Portfolio or samples of prior cinematography work required with application
