Pros
It has been six months for me to stay at Simulmedia as a product designer. I strongly felt that my capability growth is MUCH MORE than a six-month professional growth. Obviously, design is not the priority here, but honestly, in some design-first large companies, designers literally just "design" a single button for three months -- it is efficient for the company, but certainly not beneficial to that designer as an individual. Overall, the pros are: -- competitive salary, really good benefits -- super talented manager who pushes me in a most encouraging way -- fun activities all year around to build real connections -- nice coworkers as your supportive friends (even help me move) -- good WLB -- unlimited opportunity as a designer to grow super fast and understand advertising businessCons
-- never encourage working remotely -- have to be social and visible. Not ideal for really introverted people -- no extra product design hc in the near future -- must be proactive and super self-driven. Not ideal for people adapted to a big corp culture
