About Us:
Our mission is to eliminate the threat of wildfires across 500 million acres in the U.S. and allied nations. We’re building advanced technology that supports firefighters in the field—especially in use cases that were previously unsafe, inefficient, or impossible. Our founding team is comprised of seasoned fire professionals and technology entrepreneurs who have built companies worth billions of dollars.

We are seeking a drone Test Pilot to support the development and validation of our autonomous aerial suppression systems. In this role, you will operate UAVs during field testing, contribute to flight safety and mission readiness, and provide critical feedback to engineering teams. You’ll play a key part in bridging design with real-world performance, ensuring our aircraft are reliable and effective in high-stakes environments.
Responsibilities:
Conduct safe and compliant flight testing of UAV platforms in diverse environments
Work closely with engineering teams to plan test missions and validate system performance
Document flight results, anomalies, and system behaviors for iterative improvement
Support integration and troubleshooting of new hardware and software builds
Ensure adherence to operational safety standards and flight protocols
Provide feedback on system usability and pilot/operator interfaces
Qualifications:
Prior experience operating UAVs in real-world environments
Strong understanding of UAV flight principles, controls, and safety protocols
Excellent situational awareness and decision-making under pressure
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering teams
Preferred (but not required):
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Background in aviation, aerospace, engineering, or field testing of robotic systems
Familiarity with autonomous flight systems, mission planning tools, or ground control systems
Don’t meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we encourage you to apply — you may still be the right fit for our team.
