Responsibilities
- Administer allergy shots and immunotherapy per provider orders and ensure required observation time post-injection
- Perform skin prick and intradermal testing, record vitals and patient reactions, and escalate adverse events appropriately
- Prepare and mix immunotherapy vials following regulatory procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- Maintain immunotherapy room and emergency kits; ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning
- Triage patient communications via phone/portal and assist with scheduling, prior authorizations, and documentation
- Document all visits and procedures accurately in the EMR and verify insurance benefits prior to serum preparation
- Educate patients on treatment plans, aftercare, and safety, promoting a professional and welcoming environment
- Participate in training, maintain knowledge of clinical updates, and support team coverage including rotating Saturdays
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
- Successful completion of NCLEX-RN or state-approved equivalent
- Current CPR and AED certifications
