Savvas Learning Company is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Resource Manager to join our Professional Services team. This pivotal role is responsible for driving the national strategy of our Curriculum Specialist team, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all market-based teams. The Curriculum Specialists at Savvas are the product and platform experts who sell and service K-12 Math, Science, Literacy, Humanities and Supplemental/Assessment and Acceleration programs. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, passionate about educational excellence, and dedicated to supporting our sales and services objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • National Strategy Implementation: Execute the national strategy for the Curriculum Specialist team, aligning with the team leader’s vision and the defined scope of the role. Strategy includes but is not limited to onboarding, sales and services program certification, capacity planning, field and inside team coaching and support in collaboration with Managers and Directors, and ongoing training and communication around policies and procedures to ensure strategy is realized.
  • Consistency and Effectiveness: Ensure consistent approaches across all market-based teams to optimize strategy support and effectiveness nationwide.
  • Training Development & Delivery: Collaborate with sales and services enablement teams to create and deliver training programs on Savvas product and programs. Lead the internal platforms, systems, policies, and procedures training for the Curriculum Specialist team.
  • Policy Communication & Organization: Facilitate and lead clear communication and organization of established policies to the Curriculum Specialist teams.
  • Business Activity Management: Manage and implement additional business activities identified by the team leader, adapting to evolving market and customer needs.
  • Accountability for Business Needs: Take ownership of managing national business needs and maintaining the overarching national strategy.
  • Team Support: Support the entire Curriculum Specialist team, from Specialists to Managers and Directors, in achieving and exceeding Savvas’ sales and services objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

At time of posting this job does not have direct management of Curriculum Specialist resources. However, there may be plans to build this into the role in the future.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Industry Expertise: Strong preference for experience in Educational Sales and Services, particularly with customer-facing teams. Ability to quickly learn Savvas Learning Co. products, platforms, and competitive landscape.
  • Interpersonal & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels of internal and external customers and inspire collaboration. Proven track record in strategy, building, managing, and motivating national teams to achieve sales/services objectives.
  • Customer Engagement: Experience partnering with customers, coaching on deal closure, and delivering successful services (e.g., exhibits, conferences, pilots, sales presentations, introductory services). Superior knowledge of customer program selling and implementation strategy, including support, communication, training, data analysis, and competitive advantages, focused on encouraging adoptions/partnerships.
  • Strategic & Proactive: Proactive, results-oriented, detail-oriented self-starter. Able to prioritize and manage diverse business needs. Established success as a strategic sales thinker with a record of executing sales and services plans.
  • Communication & Presentation: Superior messaging and presentation delivery skills. Excellent written, verbal, in-person, and remote/virtual communication, with expertise in industry-standard technology tools and platforms for self and coaching others.
  • Adaptability & Business Acumen: Flexible and adaptable approach to leading in a changing organizational and customer climate. Strong business acumen and ability to think creatively with sound judgment. Experience with change management best practices is a plus. Technical Proficiency: Broad experience with industry-standard business applications and productivity tools to manage and mitigate risk

Education and Experience:

  • B.A. degree, M.A. preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of experience in education, including sales, service, and implementation.
  • Leadership experience in customer service, driving relationships and strategy.
  • Proven success in managing strategic plans for sales and/or services, particularly multi-product/platform/service offerings.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, develop, and performance manage sales and service teams, with adult learning theory experience.
  • Strong skillset in industry standard business applications such as Salesforce, webinar delivery applications, LMS, Google Drive/Sites/Hangouts/Meet and AI applications.

  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in a short period of time, handle multiple priorities simultaneously and operate in a demanding work environment is important.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical to successful performance in this role.
  • Must be able to travel 30-40% of time, mainly airline travel but at times long distance in cars. Certain times of year require more travel than others but must be flexible and available to travel at any time of year.
