About the job

The SAS Managed Cloud Services (MCS) division within the Cloud and Information Services (CIS) organization is looking for a Hosted Managed Services Offering Manager to support private cloud offerings in the SAS Managed Cloud portfolio. You will join a group of dynamic and motivated professionals to develop and communicate the SAS MCS roadmap and bring new offers and services to market. This opportunity comes at a unique time when our solutions are being transformed, driven by the introduction of the next-generation technology based on our Viya 4.0 platform.

This position will be focused on building and extending our MCS Viya 4 offering, partnering closely with product management and engineers in the Viya 4 product organization.

As a Senior Product Manager you will:

• Strategic Planning & Market Analysis: Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Viya 4 MCS service offerings and capabilities, aligning with SAS and MCS business goals and market demands. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the managed cloud services, cloud platforms, data and AI.
• Viya 4 MCS Offering Development & Market Launch:  Collaborate with SAS Viya 4Product Strategy Team and Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) Process, Sales, Marketing, Sectors, Markets, MCS Field SMEs, Finance, Legal, Security and Compliance to define and prioritize Viya 4 requirements for expanded and new MCS offerings, services and capabilities to meet market demand. Oversee the launch of new Viya 4 Managed Cloud Services offers and services leveraging the MCS Service Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
• Viya 4 Offering Performance Monitoring:  Develop, monitor, analyze and report on business case and market performance results (signings, revenue, profit, etc.) for new and expanded Viya 4 offering services and capabilities using a data and KPI driven approach to provide objective Viya 4 offering performance evaluation and continuous improvement actions.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure the Viya 4 offering complies with relevant regional, global and sector regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Customer & Market Engagement: Engage with SAS Viya 4 MCS customers, market leaders and MCS regional teams to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure the offerings meet their expectations.
• SAS & MCS Market Eminence:  Evangelize SAS Managed Cloud Services benefits and opportunities by attending leadership team meetings, speaking at town halls and other events inside and outside CIS to build understanding and excitement about SAS Managed Cloud Services.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications

• Overall 8+ years of experience, including Product or Service Offering Management experience in the software product or IT services industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline. 
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements above.
• Proven ability to build relationships effectively with leaders across the organization, at the Director level and above.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Hyperscale Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) platform, architecture and commercial principles such as core hyperscaler compute, storage, and network services, integrations, security, performance, and monitoring services.
• Prior experience with driving product/offering strategy, building business cases, revenue models, market enablement launch for new software products and service offerings.
• Strong analysis, negotiation, collaboration, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to speak at an appropriate technical and business level for the audience.
• Experience in one or more of the following: Managed Services, SaaS, or XaaS models

Preferred Qualifications

• • SAS programming and/or SAS product experience, specifically Viya 4, SAS 9, RF&C, and HLS/LSAF platforms and products• Financial Services, Government and Life Sciences industry experience• Foundational cloud certifications across one or more hyperscalers  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex software product/offering definition and link features to customer value and outcomes• Visual thinker who can present complex topics in a simple format for conversation• Problem-solver who asks the right questions to get the best solution• Influencer who is collaborative, transparent, and genuine• High performing contributor who performs well under pressure and produces quality results • Change agent that drives transformation within the business
