Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry – Airlie Oral Surgery is looking for a full-time Patient Coordinator for our Leland, NC (Arlie Oral Surgery) location.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Patient Coordinator is to help the oral surgery office stay on schedule, manage appointments, enter patient data, and communicate with patients in an empathetic and professional manner.

💡 Previous oral surgery office experience is strongly preferred — knowledge of surgical scheduling, pre-op/post-op patient needs, and insurance coordination will help you thrive in this role.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Warmly welcoming and greeting patients
  • Managing patient check-in and ensuring all necessary information is in the patient management system
  • Collecting co-payments and closing out registers daily
  • Scheduling, confirming, and adjusting surgical appointments
  • Coordinating with surgical teams to keep the schedule running smoothly
  • Handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Escalating issues to the Office Manager as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Must be present by 6:45AM

Typical schedule (4 Day work week): Tuesday–Thursday 6:45 AM–3:30 PM, Friday 6:45 AM–2:00 PM

HS Diploma or higher

Reliable and professional demeanor

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical office

Proficiency with computer systems (Eaglesoft/Denticon a plus)

Dental front desk experience preferred; oral surgery experience strongly preferred

High ethical standards and patient confidentiality commitment
