Senior Customer Solutions Engineer - job 1 of 3

Cloudflare is a global internet performance and security company powering millions of internet properties. The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer will act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, guiding onboarding, optimizing product usage, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to maximize customer value and expansion.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of internet fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS)
  • Experience with web security (WAF, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, MTLS/Zero Trust)
  • Knowledge of performance concepts (caching, HTTP/2, TLS 1.3, latency optimization)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Familiarity with reverse/forward proxies and their operational uses
  • Scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, Bash) for automation and diagnostics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for one or multiple enterprise customers throughout their lifecycle
  • Lead technical onboarding and configuration of Cloudflare products and services
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 engagements and 1:many technical workshops and trainings
  • Diagnose root causes and provide sustainable technical solutions for complex production issues
  • Collaborate with Customer Support, Technical Account Managers, Product, and Engineering on escalations
  • Identify opportunities for product/service expansion and capture feature gaps to promote retention
  • Contribute to internal and external technical documentation and best practices
  • Share knowledge across the CSE organization through Q&A, playbooks, and content creation

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Equivalent practical experience in networking, web performance, or security will be accepted
