About the role:

Help scale the success of Replit Agent by leading the DevSecOps team. This team handles CI/CD tooling, Site Reliability infrastructure and best practices, and Security Engineering. You’ll directly impact the company’s success by helping users get a more reliable and trusted system, and you’ll help Replit engineers by empowering them to ship quickly with confidence.

You will:

• Hire, mentor, and retain a high performance team of technically talented, creative, and driven builders.

• Be decisive on team strategy and direction, helping Replit achieve company goals and its long term mission of bringing a billion software creators online.

• Set the pace and drive urgency in delivery, to help us win in a hyper competitive market.

• Roll up your sleeves and pitch in on projects, on-call duties, and other team activities.

Examples of what you could do:

• Build tooling around Kubernetes, GCP, and Azure to make it easier for engineers to do the right things by default, and to maintain high shipping velocity.

• Help transition our infrastructure to a more resilient regional deployment, and enable advanced Enterprise deployments for users with unique security needs.

• Improve our security posture by leveraging static/dynamic analysis, offensive testing, and by integrating detection into our development process.

Required skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent real-world experience in security engineering roles

• 7+ years of experience in software with at least 2 years in a management role.

• 5+ years in a Site Reliability role.

• Exposure to Security Engineering and DevOps work in prior roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and infrastructure.

• Experience with GCP or Azure, and with managed Kubernetes deployments.

• Previous experience at a high-growth startup.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with AI/agentic systems.

• Experience with reliability strategies such as canarying and blue/green deploys.

• Open source project contributions.
