Staff Avionics Space Survivability Engineer
Skills
- Electrical design and testing experience for avionics hardware
- Simulation and modeling of environmental effects such as radiation, high voltage transients, arcing, and EMI
- Strong knowledge of space-qualified avionics hardware design and failure analysis
- Familiarity with test standards (e.g. MIL-STD-461) and software programming tools (C++, Python, MATLAB) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Drive development and test campaigns for avionics components and systems ensuring survivability from ascent to orbit
- Analyze and test failure mechanisms including radiation effects and electromagnetic interference
- Develop and lead comprehensive multi-environment test campaigns for components and subsystems
- Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary avionics engineering team across digital, RF/EMC, power electronics, and mechanical areas
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
