Principal Avionics Test Engineer
Skills
- Expertise in electrical or aerospace systems testing and verification.
- Proficiency with environmental test standards (SMC-S-016, RCC-319, RCC-324, DO-160, MIL-STD-810).
- Experience using environmental test equipment like thermal chambers, shaker tables, vacuum chambers.
- Knowledge of software development tools such as Python and Git.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and complex test campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Manage requirements and develop verification plans for avionics component and system-level testing.
- Drive development of hardware components for testing such as simulators and data acquisition systems.
- Develop software frameworks for test automation, data review, and configuration management.
- Set technical strategies for functional, performance, and environmental testing across multiple test phases.
- Lead vehicle-level integration, on-console operations, and troubleshooting activities.
- Oversee electrical and software system validation using hardware-in-the-loop and related platforms.
Education
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
