- Proven technical experience designing and implementing data acquisition and control systems
- Ability to speak to direct contributions on past projects and to evaluate design tradeoffs
- 3+ years leading engineering teams through full talent lifecycle (hire, develop, retain)
- Experience activating complex projects and troubleshooting in live operational/test environments
- Project scheduling and budgeting experience with an emphasis on reducing cost and lead time
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction, evaluate risk, and review engineering designs for data collection and control systems across test stands
- Recruit, develop, mentor, retain, and manage data and control systems engineers at all seniority levels
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Structures Test, Fluids Test, Operations, Ground Software, Data Platform, and Vehicle Engineering
- Create, track, and report project schedules and budgets while optimizing cost and lead time
- Spend significant time (≈50%) in operational environments to solve real-time problems and support test execution
- Drive transition of systems from development to production and scale team processes accordingly
Education
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge
