- Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience specifying and managing capital equipment acquisition
- Familiarity with industrial-scale processes and automation
- Statistical data collection, analysis, and reporting experience
- Technical writing and SOP creation
- Project management and organization skills
- 3D CAD / solid modeling experience (preferred)
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to train production staff and communicate clearly
- Troubleshooting and process optimization
Responsibilities
- Specify, procure, and implement capital equipment for production lines
- Design tooling, fixtures, and production aids
- Review and provide input on new process and equipment designs
- Partner with mechanical development to transition processes and equipment into manufacturing
- Create and maintain process work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and equipment
- Analyze process data and metrics to improve safety, quality, and cost
- Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues
- Identify and execute continuous improvement projects
Education
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (required)
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
