Skills
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Experience with billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes
- Familiarity with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Ability to prepare clear financial commentary and analysis
- Experience working with external auditors and supporting audit requests
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Support revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606
- Perform month-end close tasks related to revenue and AR, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare revenue & billing workbooks, account reconciliations, and customer-specific summaries and analyses
- Draft month and quarter-end financial commentary related to revenue and receivables
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for Revenue and AR
- Coordinate with Business Development/Commercial Operations on new contracts, amendments, and invoicing issues
- Support external audits by preparing documentation and responses for auditors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor customer budgets, forecasts, and actuals
- Create and issue customer invoices accurately and on time and apply customer payments appropriately
- Monitor AR aging and work with Customer Operations on collection activities
- Participate in selection and implementation of financial systems and process improvements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Relevant coursework or prior experience in financial reporting and accounting
