Skills
- Chemical plant operations and process troubleshooting
- Pilot plant design and operation
- Flowsheet development and trade-off analysis
- Process modeling and equipment sizing (HSCsim, SysCAD, METSIM or similar)
- Process plant design, commissioning, and ramp-up experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Capacity to work nights, in production environments, and lift up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable processes
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to design and implement new process plants and equipment
- Design, operate, and analyze testwork and pilot plant campaigns
- Develop and iterate process flowsheets; perform trade-off and financial evaluations
- Support process plant implementation, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex chemical and metallurgical process issues
- Translate pilot/test results into equipment sizing and full-scale implementation recommendations
Education
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline
