put the stuff you actually wanna do. i once listed Excel and got stuck in spreadsheet hell for 2 years š© now I only list what I enjoy.
Honestly? I just copy the skills from the job listing if I actually know them. ATS bots love that. ChatGPT definitely stays on there now tho š
I used to leave that section blank but once I added: āemail etiquette, Slack communication, adaptabilityā weirdly I got more callbacks š idk.
Yeah def list tech stuff but tailor it. I rotate mine based on the job: SQL, Python, Jira, Git, APIs. No point saying āmultitaskingā on a dev resume imo.
fixing up my resume (again š) and Iām stuck on the skills part. Iāve seen people put things like time management, Excel, even ChatGPT. but idk if that stuff matters anymore. do recruiters actually read that section?? would love to know what yāall list and if itās ever helped you land interviews.
